GAME DESCRIPTION:LAS VEGAS--2009 is poised to be a big year for the developers at Raven. In addition to the Wolverine movie tie-in game, the studio is working on a new Castle Wolfenstein game and a new IP known as Singularity. The game was teased at E3 last year, but since then, publisher Activision has been reticent about revealing details on the game. Today at the D.I.C.E. Summit in Las Vegas, Raven and Activision lifted the curtain on this sci-fi first-person shooter for the first time and showed us the time-travel features that look to set this game apart from its competition.

In Singularity, you play as Nate, an Air Force pilot who, in the early parts of the game, is scrambled to investigate some strange happenings on an island off the coast of Russia. As circumstances tend to do in video games, things go pear-shaped and you find yourself stranded on the island after your plane crashes. From there, it's up to you to discover the mystery of the island, while remaining alive in the process. Toss in a time-travel complication that keeps flipping you between 2010 and the 1950s, and there seems to be a lot going on in Singularity's story.

Description Grand Theft Auto IV is a sandbox-style action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North, and released for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Oceania, Europe, and North America on 29 April 2008, and in Japan on 30 October 2008. A Windows version of the game was released in North America on 2 December 2008 and in Europe on 3 December. It was made available on Steam on 4 January 2009.^[18] It is the sixth 3Dgame in the Grand Theft Auto series.

Two episodic packs have since been released for the Xbox 360, the first entitled The Lost and Damned, released on 17 February 2009. The second is entitled The Ballad of Gay Tony, released on 29 October 2009. Both episodes were released for PlayStation 3 andMicrosoft Windows on 13 April 2010 in North America and on 16 April 2010 in Europe.

The game is set in a redesigned rendition of Liberty City, a fictional city based heavily on modern day New York City. It follows Niko Bellic, a war veteran from an unspecified country in Eastern Europe. He comes to the United States in search of the American Dream, but quickly becomes entangled in a world of gangs, crime, and corruption. Like other games in the series, GTA IV is composed of elements from driving games and third-person shooters, and features "open-world" gameplay that gives players more control over their playing experience. It is the first console game in the series to feature an online multiplayer mode.

In the article ‘Alice on Stage’, Carroll gives the following description of her: "Loving, first, loving and gentle: loving as a dog (forgive the prosaic smile, but I know no earthy love so pure and perfect), and gentle as a fawn; then courteous - courteous to all, high or low, grand or grotesque, King or Caterpillar, even as though she were herself a King’s daughter, and her clothing of wrought gold: then trustful, ready to accept the wildest impossibilities with all that utter trust that only dreamers know; and lastly, curious – wildly curious, and with the eager enjoyment of Life that comes only in the happy hours of childhood, when all is new and fair, and when Sin and Sorrow are but names – empty words signifying nothing!"
The character of Alice is based on a real girl, called Alice Liddell, who was one of the author's child-friends.
The illustrations of Alice by John Tenniel are not based on Alice Liddell. Carroll sent Tenniel a photograph of Mary Hilton Badcock, another child-friend, who was the daughter of the Dean of Ripon. He recommended her as a model, but whether Tenniel accepted this advice remains a matter of dispute
The name of one of the three little sisters in the Treacle Well refers to Alice: 'Lacie' is a transformation of the letters from the word 'Alice'
